Mario Balotelli's agent reveals Borussia Dortmund move

The journeyman forward has turned out for top European clubs Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan, Liverpool and most recently French outfit Nice, where he scored 15 goals in 23 Ligue 1 games this season to guide the club to an impressive third-place finish.

On Tuesday, Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola was spotted at Dortmund’s headquarters, before revealing the reason for his appearance in Germany.

"Yes," the agent told Bild when asked whether he was there ahead of a possible move for Balotelli, who is out of contract at Nice.

"Balotelli will play for Dortmund."

However, the agent’s remarks may be a ploy, with German newspapers revealing he could have been at Dortmund to discuss a potential move for an unnamed youth player he also represents.

Dortmund are however looking for an established frontman to replace the departing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is gathering interest from Paris-Saint Germain and former club AC Milan.
