Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang clears the air over Borussia Dortmund exit stories

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Signal Iduna Park in the current transfer window, but has opted to remain with Thomas Tuchel's side for at least one more season.

The Gabon international previously revealed his desire to play for La Liaga giants Real Madrid, and it now appears likely that the player will seek a move away from BVB when the right offer comes along.

"Those who know me, know that I am an open and honest guy, and it will always stay like that," he told Sport Bild.

"Should there be talks about a transfer one day, things will run smoothly, I promise that."

The reigning African Player of the Year also said that the manner in which former teammates Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan departed Dormund left a sour taste in his mouth.

"In the end, all involved have to be pleased with it, and you still have to be able to look each other in the eye," he added.

"It's about how you do it. And a few things were done in public recently which were not okay, and which you are not necessarily able to relate to as a colleague."

When asked how much he thought his transfer would be worth, the player admitted he could see the fee being close to that of the 90 million euros paid by Juventus to secure the Argetine striker's services from Serie A rivals Napoli.

Aubameyang said: "I don't know how much I am worth. Maybe you'll see it one day. I fear that it could also go in the direction of Higuain."
