The Catalans qualified for the UEFA Champions League last 16 as group winners, but suffered a 3-2 defeat to Antwerp in their final group clash on Wednesday evening.

According to Spanish publication Cadne Ser, Xavi is facing scrutiny from a few players in the squad after the disappointing result in Beligum.

The dressing room is believed to be tense at the moment and there are also constant leaks, which is adding to the pressure on the Catalan giants' tactician.

The Spanish outlet added that Robert Lewandowski, Ilkay Gundogan, Frenkie de Jong and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are not too pleased with Xavi's coaching style and his tactics.

However, Barcelona attacker Ferran Torres says the players back Xavi and says there are people trying to destroy the club.

"We are with the coach and his ideas until the end," Torres said after the defeat.

"It's easy to criticise the coach, but the players are the ones on the pitch. We know how things work at Barça, people on the outside try to destroy us, to make us nervous, but we will turn things around.

"There is always a lot of external noise, but we have to live with that."
