It was suggested that talks between the two clubs over a transfer fee remain ongoing while the Scotsman remains part of the Red Devils' pre-season camp in the United States, although it is understood that Fenerbahce and Fulham are also pushing to secure his signature.
Now, though, it is believed that another player has taken the decision to leave Old Trafford.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has agreed personal terms with West Ham United, with the defender believed to have said yes to a five-year contract until June 2029.

As things stand, there is no agreement between the two clubs, but the Hammers have made a bid of £10 million (R232 million).
United, meanwhile, reportedly want up to £18 million at this stage, with Wan-Bissaka's exit expected to pave the way for the arrival of his replacement Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.
The Morocco international is understood to have already agreed terms with United.
Wan-Bissaka has made 190 appearances for the English giants since arriving at the Theatre of Dreams from Crystal Palace back in 2019.

In recent seasons, the right-back has fallen down the pecking order, with Portugal international Diogo Dalot being the preferred starter under manager Erik ten Hag.
