Manchester United loanee Antony has revealed he was close to joining one of the Red Devils' biggest rivals.
Antony left the Red Devils in the January transfer window to join LALIGA outfit Real Betis on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Brazilian joined United for big money in Erik ten Hag's first season but was unable to hit the heights at Old Trafford.

However, things could have turned out differently after revealing he was close to replacing Mohamed Salah at the Reds before making the switch to United.
"I was very close to signing for Liverpool, but nobody knows what would have happened," Antony told Marca.
"In the end, I went to Manchester United, I lived great moments there and it was a good choice too.
"Salah is an incredible player and he has been doing extraordinary things for a long time. He is an exceptional footballer.
"I don't know if he is the best in the world at the moment, but he is certainly among the best and is seriously competing for the Ballon d'Or."
Antony will be back in action against Real Madrid on Saturday after his red card against Getafe was overturned.
"It was incredible for me, especially because of the importance of this match against Real Madrid. Also, we are playing at home and in front of our fans. I am very happy and ready for this match."
