Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has finally broken his silence after the club's surprise UEFA Champions League exit this week.
The Serie A champions registered a 3-2 win over FC Porto, but went out on the away goals rule after it ended 4-4 on aggregate.
Majority of the criticism has been aimed at Ronaldo, most notably for the part he played in Porto's second goal on the night.
As Europe is no longer a concern, Ronaldo is now switching focus to Serie A and the Coppa Italia final.
"More important than the number of falls you take in life, is how fast and how strong you get back on your feet... true champions never break!" he said on Instagram.
"Our focus is already in Cagliari, in the Serie A struggle, in the Italian Cup final and in everything that we can still achieve this season.
"It's true that the past belongs in museums (I should say!), but fortunately, football has memory... and so do I! History can't be deleted, it's written every single day with resilience, team spirit, persistence and lots of hard work.
"And those who don't understand this, will never achieve glory and success."
