Serie A match report Cagliari v Juventus

Juventus made three changes to their team with De Ligt, Kulusevski and Danilo coming in. The hosts made two changes to their starting line-up, with Zappa and Simeone coming into the team.

In the 10th minute, Ronaldo won a corner excellently taken by Cuadrado and the Portuguese powered a lovely header into the back of the net.

Ronaldo won a penalty in the 25th minute after being brought down by Cragno and he dusted himself off before coolly converting the spot-kick.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner completed his hat-trick five minutes after cutting inside before finding the back of the net with a powerful funish

In the 41st minute, Marin had a powerful free-kick saved by Szczesny, before Ghanaian Alfred Duncan tested the Juventus shot-stopper with a long-range effort that was tipped over the crossbar.

Soon after, the Bianconeri shot-stopper produced another superb save to deny the dangerous Marin as the home side looked for a way back into the contest.

On the hour mark, Cagliari pulled one back. Zappa did really well down the right wing, getting to the touchline and drilling the ball into the six-yard and find an unmarked Simeone to poke home.

Ronaldo had a chance to add a fourth goal with the final kick of the game but Cragno produced a superb save in one-on-one situation to ensure Juventus only walked away with three goals.
