A Zamalek star has made an honest admission about South African football prior to his team's CAF Confederation Cup match against Stellenbosch, but he is optimistic about securing a victory away from home.
The two teams will face off in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday, April 2, at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town at 15h00. The second leg will take place on Wednesday, April 9 in Cairo.
Stellies advanced to this stage of the competition after finishing as the second-placed team in Group B, conversely, Zamalek emerged as the champions of Group D.

This will mark the first clash between the Cape Winelands team and the two-time Confederation Cup champions in their history. Both teams will be looking to earn the first bragging rights against one another.
Gaber, 33, has highlighted the significance of respecting Stellenbosch but maintained that Zamalek are fully prepared for the match in the Mother City.
"The match is very important for Zamalek, we are well aware of the development of football in South Africa, and we will face a strong team," Gaber said per Ahlmasrnews.com.

"We will do our best in this match, especially since the first match of the quarter-finals will be away from home.
