In a remarkable comeback to the sport, the Dane signed for the Bees on a six-month deal in January 2022 only seven months after suffering a cardiac arrest while representing his national side at UEFA Euro 2020.

Speaking to former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher, Frank revealed that his son Bertram, was the masterminded behind the signing.

"[He made a] huge difference, 100%. Sometimes when you get a quality player of that [stature] in the team, it just makes everyone better," Frank said.

"We need to give him [Bertram] a great credit. He gave me the notch in October."

The Brentford manager then added that his son brought the topic of signing Eriksen up once more in December and that was when Frank gave in.

"We spoke about it with the club and then I called him. We're pleased that he came."

Eriksen now plays for Manchester United but the move to Brentford was instrumental in reigniting his career, amid fears that he would have had to hang up his boots after suffering from cardiac issues.
