Barca star's agent accuses Xavi of lying

The agent of a certain FC Barcelona star has accused former manager Xavi Hernandez of lying.

The Spanish coach was relieved of his duties this week after the final year of his contract was sorted out with the club.

Vitor Roque joined the Spanish giants in the January transfer window, but only played 353 minutes under Xavi in the last few months.

Agent Andre Cury threatened to find a new club for the player unless the situation changed, but now has hit out at Xavi.

"It is not true that Xavi wanted the player for December. He wanted him even before, for July, but they did not let him come," Cury told MARCA.

"Honestly, Xavi called him personally."

"Vitor Roque expected more minutes with Xavi. Now, with the new coach he is starting from scratch," Cury continued.

"In front of him [Flick], he has a world-class player like [Robert] Lewandowski. Vini, for example, took two years to adapt."
