The reason why Manchester United's biggest off-season transfer decided to sign with the Red Devils over Real Madrid has now reportedly been revealed.

Having successfully lured a substantial number of prodigious young French talent in recent seasons, including Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and more recently Kylian Mbappe, it seemed the Spanish champions would add the 18-year-old centre-back to that list.
However, the Saint-Maurice native decided to join Erik ten Hag's project at United and, according to Marca, the reason for this is because the record European champions only offered him €2.5 million (R49.4 million) a season, while the English giants almost quadrupled his earnings by agreeing to pay him €9.5 million (R188 million) a season.

Instead, Real decided not to enter the bidding war with the Premier League side as they explored other options. Unfortunately for United, however, Yoro is now nursing a broken foot and will only be back in action for the Dutch tactician towards the beginning of November.
