According to reports from the continent, former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer has emerged as a strong potential candidate for a coaching position with a top African club.
Zinnbauer is currently the head coach of the Algerian club JS Kabylie, having joined the team in January this year after leaving Saudi Pro League team Al-Wehda in November 2024.
Reports indicate that Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek SC are contemplating the possibility of hiring the German coach for the upcoming season.

The Royal Club is currently led by Portuguese manager Jose Peseiro. With reports suggesting that his contract will expire at the end of the season, it is said that he will not remain at the club.
To build a robust technical team for the upcoming campaign, Zamalek has reportedly identified Zinnbauer as a possible candidate to take on the role for them.
"Peseiro's contract with Zamalek will expire at the end of the season , as there is an agreement within the club that he will not continue for the next season," Egyptian journalist Khaled El-Ghandour said, as quoted by Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper.
"There is a German coach who was close to coaching Zamalek before signing Jose.

"He previously coached Raja Casablanca and is currently coaching JS Kabylie of Algeria. He is Josef Zinnbauer. This coach is a strong candidate to take over the job."
Zinnbauer's Kabylie currently holds the third position with 37 points, three points behind Sead Ramovic's CR Belouizdad in the league standings as they vie for both the league title and a spot in the CAF Champions League.
Meanwhile, Peseiro's Zamalek ware unable to advance to the CAF Confederation semi-finals, having been defeated by South Africa's Stellenbosch FC in the quarterfinals.
