Barcelona have now reportedly made a huge decision on manager Xavi Hernandez's future after his recent controversial comments angered the club's hierarchy.
After announcing, in January, that he would be parting ways with the club at the end of the season, the Catalan giants confirmed last month that the Spanish tactician would be staying on for at least another season.

However, following the manager's comments during the press conference ahead of his side's LALIGA clash with Almeria on Thursday, executives around club president Joan Laporta are believed to have urged the chief to part ways with Xavi.
It is thus reported that Laporta has decided to part ways with the 44-year-old, with some speculating that an official announcement could be made after Barca's final league game of the season against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
The hierarchy's reported decision comes after the tactician spoke to reporters about the club's current financial situation.

"The objective is to change, incorporate people and improve. If not, we will stay the same. Things that have not gone well must be improved. We have to see how the film of the economic situation and fair play is and from there, we'll see," he said, per COPE.
"The economic situation influences sports planning. And you all know this. The situation is complicated, especially on an economic level, to compete with the best. The current situation has nothing to do with that of years ago."
Following his side's 2-0 victory over Almeria on Thursday night, Xavi justified his statements and revealed that none of the club's chiefs have said anything to him since he initially made the abovementioned remarks.
"I said what I think, the economic situation is not the best and we are all working very well to improve the situation. We will fight to get titles, nothing changes," the manager, said per Barca Universal.
"They haven't said anything to me personally. The sports vice president travelled with us.
"I only said what is real, that we are going to fight for all the titles, with ambition, but that the situation is not easy. It doesn't change our reality."
